This link really helped to get my ideas flowing. I used to to expand on my wordlist of the new meaning social media gives existing words.
Social media has changed the meaning of some words completely, some older generations now find it confusing to keep up with the language of social media 'wall' 'post' 'status' all mean different things to the younger generation. Some words have even made it into the dictionary which didn't exist before
